| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 13, 2009 Not as much malt as I usually require in a DIPA. It’s not exactly really "hop juicy" either. What we have here is a medium hopped DIPA, with less malt than usual. Poura a golden color with little head. Good price though, $5.25/22oz. It does have an interesting spicy hop note that I usually do not detect in my more favorite DIPA’s, so points there. All in all, a decent DIPA, middle of the road. fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Aug 3, 2009 Updated: Oct 2, 20092009-09-03, bottle at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 8-5-8-4-16=41 Amber color, medium head. The hoppy aroma is excellent, perfumy, fruity and resiny. The body has a medium structure, the mouthfeel lingers between the dry side and the sweet; good toffee flavor, with a sweet nut edge and pleasant spicy touch (black pepper); strong hopping, partially resiny and lightly fruity. The final is hoppy and it shows a sharp pepper character too. Solid.
2009-06-16, draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 8-4-8-5-17=42 Amber color, shining; small head. It has a very nice hop aroma, fruity and resiny. Solid body, with very good, sweet, round caramel and toffee flavor; very strong hopping, scraping the tongue, but leaving behind good piney resins and more orange fruitness than most beers; for what is worth, it can also fall in the category of American Strong Ales for its sweet caramel and toffee flavor. Powerful and excellent. ghawener (960), San Salvador, El Salvador

Lo siento Ramenen, no me aguanté y me la tomé. Te llevo otras para compensar! Food Pairing: Enjoy by itself, it’s food enough. bwilley (20), Fullerton, California, USA

Pours a clear golden amber with a small soapy off-white head that recedes quickly to a swirl and leaves almost no lacing.
The smell is mainly citrus hops with lots of juicy mango, oranges and grapefruit. The malts are there, lending a balance to the nose.
The taste is slightly more floral than citrus but the hops don’t exactly knock me over. There’s plenty of pale malts in the mix as well and the taste is fairly well balanced and certainly isn’t the hop bomb I was expecting given the name.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied with good carbonation and is slightly sticky with the hop juice mentioned in the name. It’s not overly bitter though.
This is a decent DIPA that isn’t super bitter but it’s not exactly well balanced either. Not too bad. DYCSoccer17 (2192), Davis, California, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jul 22, 2009 22 ounce bottle purchased at the Davis Food Co-Op. Aroma is of candied sugar with some ethanol and a little bit of spicy hoppiness. Not overly quaffable. Transparent copper body with a medium off-white head. Scant lacing. Light sweet start, before this becomes peppery, ethanolic, burning, and harsh. Lots of booze, not a lot of body. Some late grapefruit hops. Unimaginative and barely drinkable.
