Commercial Description:
Resurrection is Left Coast’s seasonal offering brewed in a small batch released in a limited quantity. Cellared for one year before bottling, this Belgian Golden Ale has a beautiful crystal clear golden color. This aging process has given it a sweet and spicy, complex fruity aroma and pleasantly tart finish. Fresh coriander is used to delicately spice this flavorful ale. Resurrection finishes with a subtle, warming character to keep you cozy on our cool left coast winter nights.

Bomber from Nugget Market in Woodland, CA. Pours hazy orange gold with a foamy 2-finger white head. Smells Belgian. Light fruit and mild spice. Medium body and tart/foamy carbonation. Flavor is fruit, citrus (coriander?), and some yeast spice. It’s a bit sweet, but I think there is also an underlying funk note. Finish certainly has citrus. A bit herbal, a bit citrus, a bit yeast, a bit funk? Works well for me.

Gushed when opened, poured like a souffle and was undrinkable at that point. Let it sit about a half hour and it still poured like souffle. Got to taste about a half a glass worth. The rest poured like souffle down the drain. Bummer. Still doesn’t beat the Angel’s Share geysers I stood in line 2 hours for a couple years ago, but comes close.

650 ml bottle from Bev4less. This pours a cloudy yellow-orange color with a nice white head that has good retention and some minor lacing. The nose is tart with mixed fruits and a good dose of spicy coriander. The flavor, like the nose, highlights the coriander, with tart fruits filling in the sides. In particular I get a lot of green granny smith apple. The palate is full and malty-smooth with lively carbonation. The finish is long with lingering tart green apple. Overall: A very enjoyable and flavorful brew. Well done Left Coast-San Clemente Crew.
