luckygirl (1212), Longmont, Colorado, USA Jul 1, 2006 Draught at the Left Hand Tap House. Beer’s a very dark brown with an average-sized, frothy, white, creamy head that’s mostly and quickly diminishing. The aroma is roasty, but otherwise plain. Malty with light-to-moderate notes of roasted grain, chocolate and a light note of molasses; Hoppy with a light-to-moderate herbal note; Trace miscellaneous note of green olive/brine, light notes of plum and top soil. The flavor was moderately sweet, moderately acidic, trace bitter with a short, trace acidic, lightly bittersweet finish. Roasty retros, trace feeling of astringency on the gums. The body was light-to-medium, the texture was velvety and the carbonation was lively.
