Commercial Description:
A traditional London style beer, our Black Jack Porter highlights chocolate malt and Kent Goldings hops. Its slight initial sweetness quickly yields to the distinctive roastiness of the chocolate malt. The Kent Goldings hops perfectly balance the malt, making it very smooth, with a surprisingly clean finish.

A 12 oz bottle. This is a well rounded beer. The aroma is roasted malt with a hint of chocolate. There is a mild mouth coating with a good after taste. The carbonation and lacing are just right.

Bottled(355ml). -Reddish dark brown coloured, pale brown head, chocolate caramel nose. Roasted malt, sweet caramel and licorice taste with notes of milk chocolate and plums. Light dry bitterish finish. LH Imperial Stout is a way better.

Decent off white head and standard dark black pour. Slightly roasted malt aroma with a bit of coffee. Subtle chocolate flavors with some cocoa gritty texture. Decent sweetness. A bit more body for a straight porter than usual.

Sample pack bottle. Medium-bodied beer. The flavor is a sweet dark chocolate to caramel.

Bottle. Poured a clear reddish brown with a foamy cola like persistent tan head. Aroma is roasted malt and chocolatey but light and bland. Flavor is a light roast, fairly dry with a hinted at sweetness. Seems like more of a toasted brown ale. Light mouth feel.

12 oz. bottle. Pours anice tan head, which thins rapidly, good lacing, lovely dark brown color, nose with smoke, molasses cocoa, tastes similar, minimal hop bitterness, very nice mouthfeel throughout, a very nice porter.

Black Jack pours an almost black brown color. With a very fleeting off white head. Smoky aroma notes dominate. The flavor is smoky with a little spiciness from the hops. The beer is so smooth all the way through. Feels medium bodied. A pretty good porter indeed.

This porter has a chocolate cocoa malt aroma. Lite bitterness from the hops gives way to sweet roasted chocolate malt flavor. I think they played this one too close to the vest. Not much of a screamer. Good for a meet and greet, not for doing the business.
