Commercial Description:
A traditional London style beer, our Black Jack Porter highlights chocolate malt and Kent Goldings hops. Its slight initial sweetness quickly yields to the distinctive roastiness of the chocolate malt. The Kent Goldings hops perfectly balance the malt, making it very smooth, with a surprisingly clean finish.

Not too shabby. I prefer the Milk Stout for its texture versus the Porter, but it is good. I like the sharp immediate aftertaste that the beer has and it is pretty smooth.

12 oz. bottle from Plaza Liquors - Pours a clear brown color with a one and a half finger thick light tan head. Light lacing. Aroma is a dusty roasted malt and chocolate. Flavor is light roasted malt with a good bit of chocolate. Has a slight bitter, roasted malt aftertaste. Medium body. This is quite a nice beer.

Bottle. It pours a ruby, clear body with a large-bubbled big beige head leaving some lacings. Heavy maltyness in the aroma, blending with a good hoppyness, fresh and dried fruits, chocolate and some oxidation. Malty flavor too, toffeeish with some oxidation, chocolate, a little coffee and some bitterness. A bit thin body. The finish is long, with caramel, dried fruits and roasted notes. A nice beer. I suspect that it has been stored to long, I don’t think the oxidation was intended. (080708)

22oz bottle. Pours dark brown nearly black with a small creamy head. Nose is mild of roast coffee & toffee/caramel. Smooth & soft. Pleasant taste of roasted coffee & dark fruits. A bit sticky. Very well made, harmless & drinkable porter. Ligtly ashy in the end!

Pours brown with tan lacing. Smells of roasted chocolate malts, tastes of chocolate as well. Nice porter.
