Nose is mild of roast coffee & toffee/caramel. Smooth & soft. Pleasant taste of roasted coffee & dark fruits. A bit sticky. Very well made, harmless & drinkable porter. Ligtly ashy in the end! | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 26, 2008 Standard and slightly boring porter. Brown, roasted blah blah blah. A little weak in the flavor department. Not bad just blah. TheCaptain (559), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 22, 2008 Bottle - Dark ruddy brown pour with some tan head. Roasted chocolate aroma but leaves the palate wanting a little more. A pepper and coco malt mild flavor with some sweetness that just seems rather week to me. An Ok drinker. scooterc (13), Houston, Texas, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 16, 2008 Clear black with red highlights and a nearly creamy tan head that lasts. Aroma of chocolate and caramel malts, as well as hints of sweet dark fruit. Flavor is along the same line, mostly roasty malt and dark fruit. A touch of hops give a bite on the finish. Nice six pack porter. lithy (1750), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 13, 2008 Dark ruby black color with a tan head that disappears slowly. A nice aroma seems to hint at dark fruits, prunes, currants, black cherries, as well as the background of porter malt. The taste is stupendous porter base with layers on top of a gourmet fruit chocolate (something like Ghiradelli) that imparts the dark fruit tones from the nose into the body of this beer. Definitely not a classic porter but fantastic nonetheless.
