Commercial Description:
A traditional London style beer, our Black Jack Porter highlights chocolate malt and Kent Goldings hops. Its slight initial sweetness quickly yields to the distinctive roastiness of the chocolate malt. The Kent Goldings hops perfectly balance the malt, making it very smooth, with a surprisingly clean finish.

This is part of a beer club. Had only one bottle but was decent for the price. Poured great and had a nice finish. Would do again.

Bottle, Lot code 24 00 08. Dark brown. Head vanishes quickly. Aroma is appealing with some notes of dried fruit. Palate rather thin. A decent porter overall, but nothing I would seek out again.

Bottle. High creamy and lasting light brown head. Very dark red brown body. Coffee liquorice aroma. Mild coffee liquorice flavor with mild hops and metallic notes. Low carbonation and a long aftertaste.

Draft, Baja Bean, Staunton VA. Black, thinning to brown at the edges, with a tan head. Aromas of toasted malt, raisin, and chocolate. Flavor is chocolate malt and slightly sour fruit, with a bit of hoppy bitterness coming through in the end. Palate is a tad thin, but only slightly. Pretty enjoyable stuff, an easy drinker.

Bottle. 355 ml bottle poured into a tulip shaped pint glas. Dark brown color. Head is off-white colored and large at first but very short lasting. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, mild coffee, caramel. Not very strong smell. The taste is sweet and malty with chocolate and caramel at first and then comes coffee, roasted/burned taste and some bitternes. Medium body and light carbonation.

Bottled. Black with a small, beige head. Loads of salt licorice in both aroma and flavour. Slightly sourish and a bit thin.

Bottle. Dark brown with a thick light brown head. Very nice chocolate and roasted aroma with emphasis on the former. Chocolate flavours in the lead, the roasted and some fruity flavours appear more gradually, so does vanilla. Rather sweet throughout. Velvety mouthfeel. Great.
