Commercial Description:
A traditional London style beer, our Black Jack Porter highlights chocolate malt and Kent Goldings hops. Its slight initial sweetness quickly yields to the distinctive roastiness of the chocolate malt. The Kent Goldings hops perfectly balance the malt, making it very smooth, with a surprisingly clean finish.

This brew made me want to brew a porter. Great roasted chocolate flavor, and slight sweetness make this a great beer.

Very roasty london porter...dark roast grain, chocolate, coffee grounds, caramel and a touch of smoke in the finish. A bit thin-bodied, a detraction, but not terribly objectionable. Another fine offering from these guys.

A thin, flavorless porter. Very little aroma at all; just a hint of roasted grains. Flavor has more roast but overall this is very light in every way, including the light brown color.

Black Jack porter pours such a dark brown that it’s almost black. It has a small amount of deminishing head, with a little bit of lacing. Overall it’s an OK porter.
