Mar 1, 2007 Very roasty london porter...dark roast grain, chocolate, coffee grounds, caramel and a touch of smoke in the finish. A bit thin-bodied, a detraction, but not terribly objectionable. Another fine offering from these guys.

Feb 26, 2007 (bottle)poured into a tulip. pours a dark ebony with frothy head, carbonation is present on the glass. aroma is of sweet malts. has a sweet front, smoky malty middle, to finsih. aftertaste is of smoked malts. carbonation is present on the palate, not a very milky smooth porter. pretty good porter.

Feb 24, 2007 A thin, flavorless porter. Very little aroma at all; just a hint of roasted grains. Flavor has more roast but overall this is very light in every way, including the light brown color.

Feb 21, 2007 Black Jack porter pours such a dark brown that it’s almost black. It has a small amount of deminishing head, with a little bit of lacing. Overall it’s an OK porter.
