Commercial Description:
A traditional London style beer, our Black Jack Porter highlights chocolate malt and Kent Goldings hops. Its slight initial sweetness quickly yields to the distinctive roastiness of the chocolate malt. The Kent Goldings hops perfectly balance the malt, making it very smooth, with a surprisingly clean finish.

Bottle. Light sour roasted malt aroma. Dark ruby-brown body with short-lived light brown head. Cloying taste seemingly built around artificial sweetner and a hint of roast. Lightly sour. Caramel but no bitterness or hops. Medium body aspires to oiliness. Dry aftertaste allows, finally, for some degree of appreciation of the roast. Eh.

On tap. Pours dark brown with amber hues and an off-white head. Slight roasts and cocoa notes that fade rather quickly on the finish. Alright.

Draught at Brewery: Aroma of choclate, smoke, and roast. Poured dark brown in color. Small, light-brown head diminished. Good lacing. Tasted of choclate, coffee, and cream. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Overall, a decent porter.
