Commercial Description:
A traditional London style beer, our Black Jack Porter highlights chocolate malt and Kent Goldings hops. Its slight initial sweetness quickly yields to the distinctive roastiness of the chocolate malt. The Kent Goldings hops perfectly balance the malt, making it very smooth, with a surprisingly clean finish.

Pours black with a decent head. Seems mild for a porter. Light aroma and flavor of coffee and roasted malts. Not too shabby.

Wonderful little beer. Initial taste is sweet and malty. Body is relatively bold with a nice molasses taste and slight bits of coffee. Goes down extremely smooth.

Dark black color with a large creamy brown head. Aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. Sweet chocolate flavor, some roasted hints.

I enjoyed this one a lot. Reminded me faintly of the Milk stout. Very similar characteristics. Great color, a nice rich thick body for a porter. The aftertaste was sweet and creamy. Delicious.

Bottle Cold Pint Glass. Served cold at Electro Loung in OKC. Good sweet nose to it with barely noticible hops. Definite chocolate and malt smell. Pours a very slow dark chocolate color with almost no head. Slighty sweet taste, fairly dark roast malt tastes, with just a touch of hop. Not bad but I have definately had better porters but not to bad.

Bottle from santa - pours a medium ruby hue, looking more like a dark brown ale or an abbey dubbel - chocolate malt dominates the aroma, with not much else going on (kind of smells like chocolate malt thrown into some hard water) - quite well-bittered for the style, tasting almost like a porter/esb hybrid - chocolate and a slight herbal quality are prominent throughout the flavor - smokey, almost ashy finish - nothing spectacular, but worth drinking at least once.

Good aroma that fits the style. No head. Good chocolatey flavors. Needs more body and more roastiness. Not bad but not great either. Nevertheless, I’ll give it another try to be sure I’m not missing something.

Just tried this at Old C’s. Very black porter. Heavy taste of coffee. Definately do not want to start with this beer, you won’t taste much afterwards. A little too strong for my liking but a decent porter.
