It poured with a medium head and a deep, dark body. The taste was pleasant, unique--almost a sweet, cola taste with hints of coffee. The Friar99 (222), Wisconsin, USA

This is certainly one Porter I would reach for again. Great color, rich chocolatey aroma, and smooth roasted taste. THE BEER BARON (275), Wisconsin, USA

Malty, smooth, and beautiful to gaze upon. Especially in a drunken state. Ethereal (1500), London, Greater London, England

Dark ruby red in colour with a superb aroma - burnt sugar, red wine, caramel and dark fruits combine in a heady, perfumy dance. The flavour is likewise complex - liquorice, figs, pepper, smoke, caramel maltiness. Smooth as silk, the hops add a subtle fruit hint to the finish. Very good indeed.
