Commercial Description:
A traditional London style beer, our Black Jack Porter highlights chocolate malt and Kent Goldings hops. Its slight initial sweetness quickly yields to the distinctive roastiness of the chocolate malt. The Kent Goldings hops perfectly balance the malt, making it very smooth, with a surprisingly clean finish.

Pours black with a ruby tint and a fleeting tan head. Brimming with the aroma of oatmeal and brown sugar. Tastes of both with additional notes of cocoa, coffee, confectioners sugar, and faint anise. Mellow and balanced. A keeper.

Dark brown pour into thin foamy heady that fully dissipates. Soft carbonated bubbles rise to a light ring of foam around the edge of the glass. Aroma of roasted chocolate malts. Initial flavor of sweet chocolate and roasted malt fading quickly into a slighly hoppy finish leaving mild bitterness.

Very dark red-brown color. Bubbly head that appears to dissipate rapidly. Aroma is of semi-sweet chocolate. Flavor is smoky chocolate, but it is somewhat watery. Impression is tthat this is a fair beer with nothing special to note about it.

12oz bottle. Very dark reddishbrown. Light tan colored head. Lots of coffee roast with hints of licorice and a bit of chocolate. Flavor is deep, chewy, thick textured dark un sweetened cocoa. a nice touch of bitterness and some licorice in the finish. Cheers.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown bottle with a tan head. Sweet malty start with a roasty coffee finish. Notes of chocolate, caramel, currants, and licorice. Good porter, better bottle art.
