Not too shabby. I prefer the Milk Stout for its texture versus the Porter, but it is good. I like the sharp immediate aftertaste that the beer has and it is pretty smooth.

Jan 8, 2009 Pours black with a ruby tint and a fleeting tan head. Brimming with the aroma of oatmeal and brown sugar. Tastes of both with additional notes of cocoa, coffee, confectioners sugar, and faint anise. Mellow and balanced. A keeper.

Jan 5, 2009 Dark brown pour into thin foamy heady that fully dissipates. Soft carbonated bubbles rise to a light ring of foam around the edge of the glass. Aroma of roasted chocolate malts. Initial flavor of sweet chocolate and roasted malt fading quickly into a slighly hoppy finish leaving mild bitterness.

Dec 30, 2008 Very dark red-brown color. Bubbly head that appears to dissipate rapidly.
Aroma is of semi-sweet chocolate.
Flavor is smoky chocolate, but it is somewhat watery. Impression is tthat this is a fair beer with nothing special to note about it.

Dec 27, 2008 12oz bottle. Very dark reddishbrown. Light tan colored head. Lots of coffee roast with hints of licorice and a bit of chocolate. Flavor is deep, chewy, thick textured dark un sweetened cocoa. a nice touch of bitterness and some licorice in the finish. Cheers.

Dec 23, 2008 Bottle. Pours a dark brown bottle with a tan head. Sweet malty start with a roasty coffee finish. Notes of chocolate, caramel, currants, and licorice. Good porter, better bottle art.
