Aroma of root beer, sweet taste, medium body, astringent finish. Ok but not great. tarheels86 (734), Washington DC, USA

Pours a hazy reddish amber with a thin, tan head that has little retention and no lacing. Aroma is sugary, malty, strawberry like a doppelbock. There is some strange wet dog/barn house/mustiness in there too. Taste is very weak: mostly seltzer water. Disappointing. SpencerDB (34), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 6, 2009 The best way I can recreate my experience with this beer is simply disappointment. The aroma is promising with hints of maple/molasses but the taste is just lacking. The beer lacks body, is watery, and has few hops. Dry finish. Not bad, but probably not going to buy another Trev (860), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA

light roast malt aroma, some sweet nuttiness
flavour has caramel and maple syrup tones, more of the faint roasty tones and a very light bitterness in the finish as well. Body is a bit light though. RR (26), Kentucky, USA
