Commercial Description:
Deep Cover Brown Ale is brewed in the tradition of the brown ales commonly enjoyed in the U.K. Despite its reddish-brown color, it is light bodied and slightly sweet, making it a very drinkable and refreshing brew. Dark caramel malts lend this ale its rich color, while toasted and Munich malts provide just enough body to be truly enjoyable.

I’m a bit shocked at the relatively low scores for this one. I loved it. Pours a clear brown/amber color with a small ivory head...no lacing. Aroma is odd when cold, but it takes on an excellent malty dark chocolate scent as it warms. Flavor is great...malty, nutty, wtih a bit of chocolate and coffee. Some hops, but just a touch. Palate is slick and smooth, with just a touch of fiz. Overall this is VERY drinkable brown, one of my favorites in the style, and an excellent session beer.

Clear brown pour with a small fomay head. Nuts, light fruit and caramel malt make up the light aroma, as well as the flavor. Refreshing, but not a lot going on.

Fairly fruity aroma with little in the way of caramel. Amber in appearance with a nice white head. Funky fruity yeast combines with slight caramel apples and light toffee. incredibly boring.

Pours brown. The nose has a hint of caramel and nuts. Caramel and nuts seem to be the only thing that stands out. The finish is a little on the dry side.

Brown beer with off-white head. Woody and caramel aromas are present. Tastes fairly simple, dry toffee flavor. Quick finish, nothing too impressive.

I liked this brown ale for it has an interesting dry aftertaste that makes one want a little more of the light coffee and nut flavors that come out. It was easy to drink and to put away.

Pours a clear brown colour with a soft white head. Pleasent nutty characteristic. Roasted malt flavors preceded by a soft caramel-honey aroma. overall pretty tastey.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of nuts - especially hazelnuts, combined with notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and nuts, as well as hints of wood, leading to a dry and bitter finish. OK.
