Clear dark amber colour, low head. LIght caramelly in aroma, along with cooked vegetables. Flavour is pale caramelley with dms here as well. Light, light malty and low on the hops. Low bitterness. Far from any brown ale. nearbeer (1834), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Mild aroma is sweet roasted walnut and sourish fruit. Flavor is also mild: some slightly sweet and nutty malt, faint sour cherries, and a drying earthy yeast. Palate is slightly watery, acidic-tingly, and has a chalky-dry finish. I guess it is in the UK style, but I favor the browns that have stepped outside of that tradition.
