Commercial Description:
Deep Cover Brown Ale is brewed in the tradition of the brown ales commonly enjoyed in the U.K. Despite its reddish-brown color, it is light bodied and slightly sweet, making it a very drinkable and refreshing brew. Dark caramel malts lend this ale its rich color, while toasted and Munich malts provide just enough body to be truly enjoyable.

Reddish, brown color. Smell of nuts, sugar, caramel, minor hops, malt and some nutmeg and cinnamon. Taste of toasted malt, sugar, nuts, toffee/caramel and spice. A little watered down also.

12 oz bottle. Clear caramel pour with a small white head. Sweet nose, caramel and light brown sugar, a bit of dough and light tea. Fairly light body. Slightly tannic tinge to the flavor, caramel, a hint of roastiness. An odd brown.

Robe brune très claire surmontée d’une mousse blanche qui s’estompe. Arômes de noisettes. Saveurs de noisettes et de caramel.

Aroma? I wonder if I got a bad bottle or if my nose is stuffy. Well, my nose isn’t stuffy, and I hope I have a bad bottle. If I think about it, I get a mild nutty smell, but that might just be my imagination. The flavor is equally bland. There is a slight burnt bitter finish, a miniscule sweetness, but nothing else. Thin. At least it pours brown, that is about all it has going for itself.

Pours thin brown, thin head. Malts are weak, some caramel, floral hops. Watery & an odd sourness.

Pours a watery brown color with a tan head. Smells of honey, cardboard, dark pit fruit, and chocolate. Thin bodied (of course). Not bad for the style, shows caramel, nuts and chocolate on the palate. Decent, enjoyable beer.

Pours a thin brown with a medium light tan frothy head. Aroma is superficial, sweet, corn. Taste is thin, sort of bland, tastes like brown beer, just cheap brown beer, slight sweetness, macro feel, acidic/metallic taste. Cold thin mouthfeel. Not really good. Refreshing I guess and a low abv for session type drinking.
