Aromas are brewery-ish, with a light malt. Kind of a thin palate, however, with a heavy, watery weight on the tongue. Sweet, like iced tea, with few thin nutty and caramel malts. Not enough substance to this brew. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 4, 2006 A very dark brown ale with alot of character. Nuts have a performance all of their own in this one, as does caramel and bittersweet chocolate coming through as well. Like eating a piece of semi sweet chocolate for baking, but in beer of course. I like it, nice and creamy. GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 13, 2006 Bottle... Clear, amber ale with orange highlights and a small, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. Nutty, malty aroma with lots of milk chocolate and caramel. Lighter notes of butterscotch and red wine. Well-balanced, nutty, chocolatey flavor. Thin, but lightly creamy with fizzy carbonation. Finishes chocolatey and watery. blank (998), Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 2, 2006 pretty average brown. Gets points for being a full bodied dark brown, with a heavy flavor and noticable aroma. But pretty standard everywhere else Braudog (3752), Dayton, Ohio, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 14, 2006 First taste of this beer tells me somthing is not quite right. It is a nice looking brown ale being a dark tea color. There is only a small head and that doesn’t last long. The aroma is also on the thin side and is mostly malt. This beer has some type of sourness that is somewhat disturbing. It tends to dominate the flavor and is hard to get past, kind of like a sore thumb. Was glad to see the bottom of the glass with this beer. LilKem (1210), Marietta, Ohio, USA
