Commercial Description:
Deep Cover Brown Ale is brewed in the tradition of the brown ales commonly enjoyed in the U.K. Despite its reddish-brown color, it is light bodied and slightly sweet, making it a very drinkable and refreshing brew. Dark caramel malts lend this ale its rich color, while toasted and Munich malts provide just enough body to be truly enjoyable.

(bottle - 12 oz) Rich reddish-brown color with a creamy tan head. Aroma is sweet malts, some roasted notes, and some nuts. Flavor begins with roasted malts and toasted nuts. The middle is lightly sweet with some apples and caramel covered almonds. Finishes with a very lightly bitter hop taste.

12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a ruby brown color with a small tan head. The aroma is roasty malts and fruity hops. The flavor is roasty and toasty malts with a light floral hop presence. I am not much of a fan of the style but this was surprisingly tasty.

Part of a mixed 12 pack. Pour is a dark copper color and aroma is an almond nut sort of thing. Flavor is mostly caramel with a little bit of red fruit at the end. I would agree that this is a little thin but put next to a newcastle and this will win. Not that that is saying a lot.

Somewhat disappointing. A little thin and weak tasting. Not a bad beer but not what I expect for a brown ale.

On Draft at Rattle and Hum in NYC. Pours a dark brown body. Aroma is sweet malt. A very drinkable beer, somewhat watery. Forgettable.

A little smell of malt here. The appearance is pretty, but the taste is watery and ok at best. Drinkable though. No taste afterward. Ok, decent brown.
