| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 16, 2009 12oz bottle. A decent brown ale. Aroma was dark malt, toffee and nuts. Pour was a dark brown with a one finger tan head. Taste was nice. Burnt and roasted malt, caramel and nuts with decent carbonation and a nice chewy aftertaste. There’s just a hint of coffee as the beer warms up. A lot of flavors here but nothing that jumps out. Seems a bit muddled.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 5, 2009 Orange amber pour into off-white frothy head that dissipates into foamy ring of bubbles around the edge of the glass. Faint aromas of malty grain and mild hops. Initial flavor of malty citrus fading into lighty hopped finish. CanIHave4Beers (866), Des Moines, Iowa, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Dec 28, 2008 Aroma is faint, sort of hoppy, a little nuttiness, a little bit of weird perfume like fruitiness. Plenty of head and subsequent lace, color is pretty bland about the lightest brown ale I have ever seen with no haziness at all. Taste continues on the weirdness pattern set up by the aroma.... Some kind of odd fruitiness, once again almost chemical in nature. The sad thing is that this flavor dominates the flavor so the good things that are happening here [hop bitterness, nuttiness, tea-like flavors] are overpowered, which is a shame because what seems to lurk in the background is very pleasant.
The palate on this thing is as thin as bud light, not good at all.
Not one of Left Hand*s better offerings.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 23, 2008 Bottle. Pours a mahogany body with a tan head. Sweet malty with a light nutty malt character, cherry and a light woodiness. Thin body with no real etoh. nick76 (2656), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 18, 2008 The aroma is OK, its got hops which is not all that common for the style. It is quite metallic, with chocolate, toffee, malt and paper. The flavor is like the aroma but tastes watery and bad. The palate is this. Overall this is a disappointment. I would keep it under deep cover too.
