Commercial Description:
Deep Cover Brown Ale is brewed in the tradition of the brown ales commonly enjoyed in the U.K. Despite its reddish-brown color, it is light bodied and slightly sweet, making it a very drinkable and refreshing brew. Dark caramel malts lend this ale its rich color, while toasted and Munich malts provide just enough body to be truly enjoyable.

Bottle. Body is a tawny brown and has just the thinnest film of a head. Aromas are very weak: caramel, brown sugar and nuts. Flavor echoes the nose, caramel and brown sugar are the mainstays, but there is a bit of a date-like fruitiness. That said, it is all bleached out and not full in the least.

Bottle. Wussy head that lasted long. Aroma is nutty with some caramel malt. Taste is thin and smooth with some malty sweetness. Pretty boring!

12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy brown with a thin off-white head that lasted through the first couple of sips and left very little lace. Mild aroma of malt and a bit of chocolate. The flavor is malty and more flavorful than the aroma suggests, but there is no sign of the chococlate foreshadowed in the aroma. Light bitterness at the finish. Overall, a decent, non-offensive brown ale.

12oz. Deep mahogany pour with a thin layer of white lace. The aroma is a rich nutty sweetness. The flavor is smooth and well blended. Nutty and caramelly.

Bottle from Suttree. Thanks!
Pours an average amber with an aroma of Grape Nuts. Flavor is Grape Nuts and fresh biscuits. Average mouthfeel. Not bad, but Grape Nuts is better as a cereal.
