| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 24, 2005 I had this in a bottle. Ever have a party and find random beer left in the morning? Well, I have no idea how I got this beer, but I drank it none the less. Amber color with a thin beige head. Wet grain nose. Grainy malt taste with some caramel sweetness. Nothing offensive, but nothing very interesting. SSSteve (2078), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 20, 2008 a clear amber/mahogany color with a small off-white head. pleasantly sweet aroma of caramel and nuts. the flavor is toasted nuts and caramel as well. not very robust but its a nice drink which i believe to be slightly under-rated. excellent aroma anyway. patrick767 (2033), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 4, 2009 bottle - Pours medium brown with a thin head. It has a light caramel malt aroma. The flavor is of course caramel malt and has a little nuttiness to it and a touch of hops. It’s light and rather bland. While it’s drinkable and doesn’t taste bad, I find myself utterly underwhelmed. The aroma is roasty malts and fruity hops. The flavor is roasty and toasty malts with a light floral hop presence. I am not much of a fan of the style but this was surprisingly tasty. cheapdark (2017), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 4, 2007 Has a slightly sweet yeasty aroma, almost like Nestle’s chocolate milk. Nicely attractive. Very dark color but not black, clear brown. The flavor of this is quite unique, almost chocolaty in nature. That aroma is so fun! Tho it has a slight detectable bitterness, it is well controlled and it makes this brew easy to enjoy. Good level of carbonation. Much better than Dogfish Head Indian Brown Ale and about on par with Tröegs Rugged Trail Nut Brown Ale. Can’t hold a candle to my local East End Fat Gary. Overall, a very enjoyable brew. decaturstevo (1997), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 29, 2006 A brown/amber pour with an aroma of sweet roasted malt. A nice sweet malty flavor and just a slight hint of bitter. A nice smooth medium bodied palate. A beer I think I could drink many of, nice beer.
