Taste is malty and semi-nutty with a bunch of not so good adjectives to follow… thin, metallic, sour, semi-bland. Semi-dry finish. jasonp (1513), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA

Some caramel and toffee in the nose. Flavor also has notes of caramel, toffee and a hint of chocolate. Moderately sweet, not much bitterness. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. No head retention. Not bad but very average. shadey (1500), Rochester, New York, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 14, 2006 First taste of this beer tells me somthing is not quite right. It is a nice looking brown ale being a dark tea color. There is only a small head and that doesn’t last long. The aroma is also on the thin side and is mostly malt. This beer has some type of sourness that is somewhat disturbing. It tends to dominate the flavor and is hard to get past, kind of like a sore thumb. Was glad to see the bottom of the glass with this beer. GreatLibations (1447), Last Supper, Arizona, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 7, 2006 Pours a brownish amber color w/ medium sized semi creamy froth. Froth reduces at a moderate pace to a dusty canopy w/ spattered islands. Aroma is slightly roasted w/ malts. Medium nectar w/ ample residual effers. A mellow roasted brown w/ a clean palate. Flavors are lightly roasted w/ a defined bakers cocoa showing nicely. Finish is crisp w/ minimal souring. iwantalambic (1389), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Grainy nutty mouth feel, a bit chewy in the finish. . . Flavour is fair, nothing extraordinary. . . A decent session beer, but not one of my favourites. brewblackhole (1384), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 8, 2007 Carmelized malt aroma, sharp toasted caramel zing in taste,a touch of hop bitterness,thin watery body. Too sweet to be a thirst quencher,way to light bodied to contemplate. Will pass on this one igneous1 (1374), Davenport, Iowa, USA
