Commercial Description:
Deep Cover Brown Ale is brewed in the tradition of the brown ales commonly enjoyed in the U.K. Despite its reddish-brown color, it is light bodied and slightly sweet, making it a very drinkable and refreshing brew. Dark caramel malts lend this ale its rich color, while toasted and Munich malts provide just enough body to be truly enjoyable.

Had this beer on 4/29/2003. Aroma is a full roasted malt scent. Color is a nice brown with very good carbonation and thick head. Taste is mellow and nutty. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a crisp feel. Finish is a creamy nut like malt flavor backed by a gentle bitterness. It may be a little mellow for a brown but I like it.

Clear muted red with a thin head. LIghtly sweet and nutty aroma. Caramel and mild cocoa flavor. Little hop flavor and low bitterness. Finishes fast. Fairly non descript. Theres nothing overtly wrong with the beer but one wonders what the purpose of it is.

A great brown ale, in my opinion. It has a wonderful malt nose that had me take not 1, not 2, but 3 deep sniffs. Yum. Also had a great hop flavor with more malt. A great brew.

Light brown/amber color with a small beige head. Weak aroma of sweet malt and caramel. Flavor is tangy and nutty. Pretty drinkable. Thanks Dogbrick.

Bottle. Not a bad taste to it, a little sweet taste, and is quite light. Not much else.

Pours amber in color with an off white head that is quite well retained. Bland aroma hinting of some malt. Flavor is likewise thin and has a suggestion of chocolate. Pretty boring and unremarkable. Although I think this is the kind of ale you could drink all night without too many ill effects the next day.
