Apr 10, 2009 Part of a mixed 12 pack. Pour is a dark copper color and aroma is an almond nut sort of thing. Flavor is mostly caramel with a little bit of red fruit at the end. I would agree that this is a little thin but put next to a newcastle and this will win. Not that that is saying a lot.

Feb 4, 2006 Thick, heavy foamy head over a brown semi -transparent body. Smelled of peanuts. I was able to detect tones of peanuts, oak and celery in the taste. It was a bit watery and thin, but overall very smooth. Not too bad although I doubt I’ll be actively seeking this out again.

Nov 14, 2006 rather boring. Brownish-red hue with a thick white head. One dimensional indeed a bland caramel prsence in the aroma and flavor not much of a hop finish. Seemed to be over carbonated.

Oct 8, 2006 sampled at tasting room. brown/copper pour iwth nice clarity and rising bubbles. caramel malts, sugars, floral hop aroma. smokey, burnt malts. nice carbonation. A tad light but good.

Apr 13, 2006 Very thin for a brown ale, but lots of nice nutty flavors. still has that weird milk-y flavor to it that i’m not crazy about but i can get over ... half of it. very sweet, some hints of vanilla and choclate, but mostly nutty and thin on the palate end.

Jan 22, 2006 Clear, dark copper pour with miniscule beige head. Aroma if malty, both sweet and earthy. The flavor is slightly sweet with notes of raisin and caramel. Dry mouthfeel from the thin to medium body. Moderate finish. Refreshing.

Jan 15, 2006 Draft at Sunspot Restaurant in Knoxville. Dark amber color in the glass with a creamy off white head that mostly lasted and produce good lacing. Sweet malts in the nose and hints of fruit. Roasty, milk chocolate, and coffee flavor with hoppy hints. Medium body, sweet, and smooth.
