Commercial Description:
Deep Cover Brown Ale is brewed in the tradition of the brown ales commonly enjoyed in the U.K. Despite its reddish-brown color, it is light bodied and slightly sweet, making it a very drinkable and refreshing brew. Dark caramel malts lend this ale its rich color, while toasted and Munich malts provide just enough body to be truly enjoyable.

Pours a reddish brown with a small tan head. Aroma is malty sweet and the flavor is quite sweet with very lttle hop bitterness to provide balance.

12 oz bottle via Malt of Earth monthly beer club shipment. Pours a clear redddish amber with an average size beige head. Very subtle aroma...some caramel malt, toffee and molasses detected. Taste is the same with malts stealing the show. Very nice smooth nutty finish.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear brown with amber highlights and a small beige head. The aroma is moderately sweet caramel malt, a little roast, bread, and a touch of nuts. The flavor is roasted malt, light chocolate and nuts. Very thin and unexciting.

Draft @ Brew Kettle: Coppery brown w/ a lasting light beige head. Nutty malt and lightly roasty & toasty aromas. Very little fruitiness, and maltiness increases as it warms. Well balanced with a light acidic sourness, dry finish w/ some residual chocolate and roasty malt flavor after it’s gone. Lighter medium body w/ a higher carbonation & dry m/f. Not a bad brown, but it could be smoother & less dry. Possibly caused by over carbonation. Nice session beer though.

Pours a very thin and light brown. Thin head. Light aroma of molasses. Not much flavor to it, I thought it was a weak brown ale.

Unambiguous molasses aroma with wheat bread underneath. Clear light brown, with a thin yellow head. Very, very grainy, of weak to medium strength. Grassy cilantro finish. It’s very drinkable with a low alcohol content, but it is fairly unremarkable. Low end ABA, IMHO.
