Commercial Description:
Deep Cover Brown Ale is brewed in the tradition of the brown ales commonly enjoyed in the U.K. Despite its reddish-brown color, it is light bodied and slightly sweet, making it a very drinkable and refreshing brew. Dark caramel malts lend this ale its rich color, while toasted and Munich malts provide just enough body to be truly enjoyable.

greaty caramelized malt nose. inhale deeply and enjoy. however the taste does not live up to the promise of the aroma. it is still a nice malty brew but a has acotton candy taste. underhopped and lacks body.

BPW #5 12 oz bottle at Shallos in Indy. Appearance is a nice brown hue with little head. Nose is coffee and chocolaty malts. Prune/raisin flavors with chocolate and coffee undertones. Moth is dry and airy. Overall a nice beer.

Bottle. Pours copper/brown, with a generous tan head that fades to a half-inch. Sweet malty aroma, with obvious caramel and vanilla leaves me anticipating this beer. The taste doesn’t disappoint. Very sweet, with a chocolate, caramel and vanilla flavor that reminds me of a cream soda. Very impressive for such a sweet beer. It balances a sweetness with a fizzy, live mouth feel.

Not bad... although a bit sweet (not cloying) but devoid of thickness. Pours mahogany into the glass, with an initial 2-finger head that diminishes to trace lace only. The nose is of sweet and sour caramels and sourmash. The body is a bit thin for the flavors, which center around a sweet malt, hinging on toffee/caramel, hinging on brown sugar... but not really defining one thing in particular. Finish brings the slightest sour back around. Not terrible, but definitely better "after" you’ve had a couple of others to take the "rating edge" off.... lol.

pours amber brown with a medium lasting cap. light roast malt aroma, some sweet nuttiness flavour has caramel and maple syrup tones, more of the faint roasty tones and a very light bitterness in the finish as well. Body is a bit light though.

Brown body with a very thin white head. Coffee, tea aroma with a tea and malt dominated taste. Semi-dry and smooth ending however.
