Commercial Description:
Deep Cover Brown Ale is brewed in the tradition of the brown ales commonly enjoyed in the U.K. Despite its reddish-brown color, it is light bodied and slightly sweet, making it a very drinkable and refreshing brew. Dark caramel malts lend this ale its rich color, while toasted and Munich malts provide just enough body to be truly enjoyable.

Bottle from my beer club. Pours a deep brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, and slight pine hop. Taste is malt up front with slight chocolate and nothing afterwards. Overall, the body was watery and thin, a letdown from the enticing aroma.

Everything about this other than the color seemed fleetingly fast to me. Yeah, sure its drinkable, but a ghost of what it cold be. The fact that my sampler pack of 12 had 6 sawtooth ales in it and two each of three other types kind of steamed my clams as well. Time to redo tyhe grain bill on this puppy.

Nice brownish amber color with a brownish aroma. Slightly fizzy mouthfeel that accompanied a light malty taste.

I really liked this brown ale, poured nicely with a cascading nutty aroma. I found this tasted much better than most other brown ales I have tried. Kind of bitter finish, can definately taste the hops. Good stuff.

The color of this beer was much lighter than I expected, being a dark orange-brown but not a solid brown. The aroma was ok but hard to detect. The flavor was very nutty and surprisingly easy to drink. This reminded me of Newcastle but tastier. Nicely done session beer. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 03-22-2008 05:46:56 id: 645715

(bottle). Pours a dark copper/brown color. Medium size tan head. Moderate lacing. Light malt aroma. Light roasted malt taste, with light alcohol taste. Smooth finish. Moderate carbonation.

It was what I expect in a brown ale! The deep earthiness of the malts gave this a very satisfying flavor and mouthfeel.
