Dec 20, 2001 Pretty generic as far as I am concerned. Nice taste and great looks, but nothing outstanding. Malts and some roastiness with a decent hoppiness. Not bad, but pretty average overall.

Sep 25, 2007 Smells spicy,faintly of chocolate. Pours a deep murky brown with a small offwhite head. Taste is creamy with chocolate malts, slightly bitter with a pleasantly watery finish. A very enjoyable brown.

Jan 22, 2008 A light golden brown pour from a bottle into a pilsner glass. Light carmel smell but an unsatisfying follow through. The finish was nice though as it held up and ended much better than it started.

Dec 14, 2008 Bottle. Wussy head that lasted long. Aroma is nutty with some caramel malt. Taste is thin and smooth with some malty sweetness. Pretty boring!

Oct 15, 2008 Bottle here in Colorado. Pours a dark brown color and develops a thin head with minimal retention. Rather hoppy and not too many noticeable other flavors. I didn’t care much for the taste.

Mar 4, 2008 BOTM Cask. Clear ruby, average head. Aroma of sweaty hops and roasty malt. Medium bodied with clean mouthfeel. The roasty malt dominates the picture, with apricots and soapy hops simmering on top. A pleasant enough brown ale, well above average.
