Aug 25, 2003 Had this on tap at Left Hand's tap room in Longmont, Colorado with Ringo.
Appreanace: This pours a reddish brown color with a quickly diminishing white head
Aroma: The schnauzola on this puppy is somewhat malty.
Flavor: It's malty, with some bite from the hops. Decent, but not outstanding.

Oct 30, 2007 12 oz bottle at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Reddish brown color. Good sweetish aroma with lemon, honey and some chocolade. Honey, minerals and some chocolade malt in the flavor. Biscuity and chocolatey finish. Somewhat watery and disappointing flavor.

Nov 3, 2004 Appearance, a clear, bright red color, no "brown" to be found, with a smallish, but nicely retained head. Aroma: nutty, flinty, with hints of cocoa and cream, but arid afterwards.
A large charge of hops hops right off, and carbonation, but it swiftly fades. Palate is tasty and tangy, decent texture, but after that problems occur. Too light in the body, too thin. The initially rewarding mouthfeel now rings very shallow..
I can drink the rest of this bottle, but I won’t be enjoying it much!

Sep 18, 2005 Shockoe Beer Festival. Muddy brown orange appearance. No aroma whatsoever, and I almost inhaled it I was trying so hard. Faint roast coffee flavor. Just not much going on here.

Jan 31, 2007 Bottle. Deep brown caramel with some toffee grit and nice dark chocolate and mocha overtones. Amber veering into copper with a creamy, fizzly tan head. Lightly bittersweet, light-bodied and kind of bland with a btitersweet aftertaste. Touch of sourness and a little more caramel. Nice, mild brown, but boring, kind of a disappointment from LH.
