Commercial Description:
Deep Cover Brown Ale is brewed in the tradition of the brown ales commonly enjoyed in the U.K. Despite its reddish-brown color, it is light bodied and slightly sweet, making it a very drinkable and refreshing brew. Dark caramel malts lend this ale its rich color, while toasted and Munich malts provide just enough body to be truly enjoyable.

Brown-red. Nose is sweet, caramel and a bit of peat. Flavor continues the caramel sweetness, mildly smoky, but mostly caramel/cola sweet.

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear ruby, average head. Aroma of sweaty hops and roasty malt. Medium bodied with clean mouthfeel. The roasty malt dominates the picture, with apricots and soapy hops simmering on top. A pleasant enough brown ale, well above average.

Light brown body, effervescent, with a short cream colored head. Malty aroma includes caramel and a little nuttiness. Mild malty flavor with a faint nuttiness and almost completely lacking aftertaste.

(bottle - 12 oz) Rich reddish-brown color with a creamy tan head. Aroma is sweet malts, some roasted notes, and some nuts. Flavor begins with roasted malts and toasted nuts. The middle is lightly sweet with some apples and caramel covered almonds. Finishes with a very lightly bitter hop taste.

Dark golden color. Somewhat stale aroma, full of cardboard (but not oxidation,) and light malt (caramel, fruit, dough, burnt popcorn.) Flavor is light bodied, slightly sweet, full of notes of berries, toasted bread and caramel. An above average brown ale.

Pours a translucent amber (not really a brown) with an average tan head that dissapeared quickly. Aroma of caramel and toffee. Flavor of malts and some hops. A bit watery but smooth. Caramel also coming through on the flavor.

It’s a nice, red mahogany colored beer with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of malt and a bit of dried fruits. The flavour also has notes of malt, slightly roasted, dried fruit and the overall impression isn’t very strong. 2392
