Commercial Description:
Deep Cover Brown Ale is brewed in the tradition of the brown ales commonly enjoyed in the U.K. Despite its reddish-brown color, it is light bodied and slightly sweet, making it a very drinkable and refreshing brew. Dark caramel malts lend this ale its rich color, while toasted and Munich malts provide just enough body to be truly enjoyable.

Robe brune très claire surmontée d’une mousse blanche qui s’estompe. Arômes de noisettes. Saveurs de noisettes et de caramel.

12 oz bottle pours light brown wiht a short offwhite head. Aroma is caramel malts with a little brown sugar. Taste is caramel, brown sugar, toffee and a touch of honey. On the palate this is fairly light and watery but very easy to drink. Nothing distinguishes this from any other brown ale that I’ve had though. Average..

12 fl oz Bottle in Longmont, Colorado 10/10/2007 Some carbonation. Pale malt aroma. Amber coloured and hoppy with some dryness and bitterness in a fresh malt finish.

Thick, heavy foamy head over a brown semi -transparent body. Smelled of peanuts. I was able to detect tones of peanuts, oak and celery in the taste. It was a bit watery and thin, but overall very smooth. Not too bad although I doubt I’ll be actively seeking this out again.

(Bottle, Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Dark reddish brown colour with brief, off-white head. Malty, grainy nose with notes of dried fruit, caramel and hints of rubber. Malty taste with dark fruit, wild berries, cherries, caramel and hints of rubbery hops in a short finish. Low bitterness, slightly sweetish. Ok, but fairly middle-of-the-road-ish.

solid brown color, sweet scent, light carbonation, malty flavor with a slightly bitter and dry aftertaste, not a big fan of brown ales in general and this changes nothing

I liked this brown ale for it has an interesting dry aftertaste that makes one want a little more of the light coffee and nut flavors that come out. It was easy to drink and to put away.
