Commercial Description:
Deep Cover Brown Ale is brewed in the tradition of the brown ales commonly enjoyed in the U.K. Despite its reddish-brown color, it is light bodied and slightly sweet, making it a very drinkable and refreshing brew. Dark caramel malts lend this ale its rich color, while toasted and Munich malts provide just enough body to be truly enjoyable.

I had this in a bottle. Ever have a party and find random beer left in the morning? Well, I have no idea how I got this beer, but I drank it none the less. Amber color with a thin beige head. Wet grain nose. Grainy malt taste with some caramel sweetness. Nothing offensive, but nothing very interesting.

This was a purchase of six bottles from Corks and Kegs in Richmond. The brown ale poured a light brown yet clear when you hold the glass to a light. The head was smallish and disappeared. It is sweetish ale with mostly malt flavors and no hops. Nice finish but lacks body.

Shockoe Beer Festival. Muddy brown orange appearance. No aroma whatsoever, and I almost inhaled it I was trying so hard. Faint roast coffee flavor. Just not much going on here.

Bottle from Peace St. Market, Raleigh. Pours burnt sienna with medium off-white head. Aroma is caramel malt, some spices and hops. Tastes caramel malty with finishing touches of toffee, slight hops, almonds, and some figs.

12 oz. bottle from Plaza Liquors - Pours a clear brown color with a 3/4 finger thick light tan head. Very light spotty lacing. Aroma is toasted caramel malt with light esters. Flavor is much of the same. Slight toasted malt aftertaste. Medium body. A basic and drinkable Brown ale.

a clear amber/mahogany color with a small off-white head. pleasantly sweet aroma of caramel and nuts. the flavor is toasted nuts and caramel as well. not very robust but its a nice drink which i believe to be slightly under-rated. excellent aroma anyway.
