Same taste all the way through. I was so bored with it I slammed it after the first sip to get rid of it. webjedi (249), Silver Spring, Maryland, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 13, 2006 Quite cloudy in appearance, lighter than a Newcastle, smooth taste, but nothing spectacular. No, or very slight aftertaste, light nutty aroma. I would have desired something a bit more buttery, but overall a general series brew if you’re spending the evening at a bar or with friends.
Found little or no head when poured, and whatever head was there settled quite quickly. Slight smoky flavor not caught in the aroma. sneagrams3 (1759), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 13, 2005 12z bottle. Deep amber hue with a tan head that quickly dissipated. Light roasted malts and slight caramel aroma. Smooth and creamy in the mouth with a chocolate cake note. "It is light bodied and slightly sweet", this is too true. But, at least they don’t claim it to be something it’s not! I think that, for what it is, it’ll do on a hot STL summer day when you need something with a lil more malt kick. Flavor is a little one dimensional with sweet caramel maltiness. There’s also some pale malts and a hint of maybe citrus hops. -Ibrew2or3 KingpinIPA (842), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 4, 2007 Has a slightly sweet yeasty aroma, almost like Nestle’s chocolate milk. Nicely attractive. Very dark color but not black, clear brown. The flavor of this is quite unique, almost chocolaty in nature. That aroma is so fun! Tho it has a slight detectable bitterness, it is well controlled and it makes this brew easy to enjoy. Good level of carbonation. Much better than Dogfish Head Indian Brown Ale and about on par with Tröegs Rugged Trail Nut Brown Ale. Can’t hold a candle to my local East End Fat Gary. Overall, a very enjoyable brew.
