Commercial Description:
Deep Cover Brown Ale is brewed in the tradition of the brown ales commonly enjoyed in the U.K. Despite its reddish-brown color, it is light bodied and slightly sweet, making it a very drinkable and refreshing brew. Dark caramel malts lend this ale its rich color, while toasted and Munich malts provide just enough body to be truly enjoyable.

Pours a watery brown color with a tan head. Smells of honey, cardboard, dark pit fruit, and chocolate. Thin bodied (of course). Not bad for the style, shows caramel, nuts and chocolate on the palate. Decent, enjoyable beer.

Appealing to the eye with a dark amber, almost walnut color and an off-white head. Did not distinguish anything in the aroma. Perhaps the old nose wasn't working well. Flavor was slightly effervescent but decent.

Amber color with a blink and you missed it tan head. Slightly aromatic brew with caramel, and a smidgeon of hops. Malty flavor, slightly sweet, nutty, caramel with a bitter finish. This is watery, and thin, mostly bland, and a little zippy. Brown seltzer water. Similar in all aspects to Geary’s Autumn Ale. Just a hair tastier.

Bottle from Suttree. Thanks!
Pours an average amber with an aroma of Grape Nuts. Flavor is Grape Nuts and fresh biscuits. Average mouthfeel. Not bad, but Grape Nuts is better as a cereal.

Pretty-looking brown in the glass with a nearly white half-inch of head. Aromas are brewery-ish, with a light malt. Kind of a thin palate, however, with a heavy, watery weight on the tongue. Sweet, like iced tea, with few thin nutty and caramel malts. Not enough substance to this brew.

Clear muted red with a thin head. LIghtly sweet and nutty aroma. Caramel and mild cocoa flavor. Little hop flavor and low bitterness. Finishes fast. Fairly non descript. Theres nothing overtly wrong with the beer but one wonders what the purpose of it is.

Very thin for a brown ale, but lots of nice nutty flavors. still has that weird milk-y flavor to it that i’m not crazy about but i can get over ... half of it. very sweet, some hints of vanilla and choclate, but mostly nutty and thin on the palate end.

Bottle. Pours a clear brown color with a longlasting off-white head. Malty slightly roasted caramel aroma. Sweetish malty roasted caramel flavor with some hoppy notes. Sweet malty finish with some hints of caramel.
