After tasting so many great brews by Left Hand, this is by far my least favorite. Very light, almost watery. No real aroma, light on the flavor. Just too thin to do much of anything. I guess every company gets a Mulligan. ehhdayton (1113), USA

Sweet nose, caramel and light brown sugar, a bit of dough and light tea. Fairly light body. Slightly tannic tinge to the flavor, caramel, a hint of roastiness. An odd brown. patrick767 (2033), fort wayne, Indiana, USA

The flavor is of course caramel malt and has a little nuttiness to it and a touch of hops. It’s light and rather bland. While it’s drinkable and doesn’t taste bad, I find myself utterly underwhelmed. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 18, 2008 Pours a clear thin brown with mildly off-white small head. Nose is slightly roasty, sweet, nutty, and with a note of chocolate. Very similar wooden, pine hop profile to the sawtooth ale, in fact I wouldn’t be surprised if it were the same recipe with toasted malts added. Thin and fizzy on the palate. Finishes sweet, hardly any bitterness to perk the palate up. Not so great. BlackForestCO (826), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA

Light aroma of chocolate and some nuts. Some chocolate malts with a bit of caramel flavor that is very smooth. Nice and drinkable, but a bit to one dimensional. phishpond417 (1946), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
