Commercial Description:
Deep Cover Brown Ale is brewed in the tradition of the brown ales commonly enjoyed in the U.K. Despite its reddish-brown color, it is light bodied and slightly sweet, making it a very drinkable and refreshing brew. Dark caramel malts lend this ale its rich color, while toasted and Munich malts provide just enough body to be truly enjoyable.

Impressive beer from Left Hand, so far I have liked everything they have to offer. Sweet caramel aroma and nice malty/brown sugar flavor. I’ll definitely try this one again.

A very dark brown ale with alot of character. Nuts have a performance all of their own in this one, as does caramel and bittersweet chocolate coming through as well. Like eating a piece of semi sweet chocolate for baking, but in beer of course. I like it, nice and creamy.

This brew poured a large head of off-white colored fine to large sized mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a hazy brown colred softly carbonated and a good lacing. The aroma is a mild malty one and the mouthfeel is crisp smooth and has a lingering "Brown" flavor. The flavor is a very nice refreshing malt with a hint of "Brown" flavor to it. Very nice and different. I liked what character it had, but I just wish it had more of it.

Pours a two finger cream head that fades to a ring leaving some lace. Nice clear red/amber color. Good carbonation and light-medium bodied. Slight malty nose. Starts malty some cocoa nothing overwhelming, drying finish. Brewed Jul 27, 2005. $1.69 for a 12oz bottle from John’s Grocery Iowa City, IA.

Nut, roast, and chocolate aroma. Brown, clear, with off-white head. Roast, malt, caramel, and and hop bitter notes. Balanced, with dry bitter finish.

Bottle at Bishops Arms in Gothenburg. Red/brown color with a beige head. Malty aroma of caramel, syrup and nuts. The taste is also malty with notes of caramel, nuts, toffee and butter. Creamy but light body. Probably a good session beer.

12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a ruby brown color with a small tan head. The aroma is roasty malts and fruity hops. The flavor is roasty and toasty malts with a light floral hop presence. I am not much of a fan of the style but this was surprisingly tasty.
