Very dark in color. Not much head. Malty aroma and malty taste. Not too complex but a decent doppelbock.

Thanks to JK for sharing. Buscuit grain aroma on the dark amber color. Grain flavored body with a sweet tinge and a dog biscuit flavor.

Not so great, and with so many left hand beers, unreasonably expensive. Prominent biscuit aroma and milkbone dog snacks. Some maple.Flavor has some toffee and an herbal finish, not very much like a traditional bock at all.

Thanks to JK for sharing. Nice dark reddish brown. Smells like toffee and Charlie Bear’s (a dog treat). The flavor is less dog treat like; however, it is still kinda there. Also a nice tofee, and light floral presence. Not very good..

Bottle (2005)… RBSG 07… Cloudy dark mahogany lager with a small, frothy, off-white head. Great retention. Caramel, breadsy aroma with light notes of toasted cashews, smoke and brown sugar. Good malty sweetness, balanced oddly by moderate piney, grapefruit bitterness and light, citric acidity. Medium bodied and sticky with lively carbonation. Mildly sweet, woodsy, lightly smoked finish. Thanks to boboski for providing the bottle (which I took to the RBSG, but could find no takers other than myself)!

750 mlo bottle. Carrot-cherry color. No head. Malty, sour apple, toffee, Sugar-Daddy caramel. Muted initial flavoring, esp to the tongue. Flavoring more prominent on roof of mouth and back of throat. Understated but impressive. Toffee, caramel trailing the initial taste on the tongue.
