Malty wheat aroma with lots of bananas and cloves and some spicy hints. Sweet malty spicy banana and clove flavor. Wheaty malty finish with bananas in the aftertaste. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 30, 2007 This beer poured like soda, very carbonated, little head that settled too quickly. Very ood. Strong smell of banana, orange, and clove. Actually, one of the more potent German Hefeweizens I have actually had. A nice hazy orange look compliments the beer. Tastes almost like it smells. The smell is a bit more pungent than the taste. Tastes of clove and banana. A difference in this beer than the others is the strong spicy clove after taste, actually pretty pleasing to the tongue. One thing that I must note is that the strong taste of clove and banana actually take away from the "bitter beer" experience. Almost too fruity to call a beer, but none the less decent. Average palate; somewhat smooth. Maria (6326), Thisted, Denmark
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 20, 2007 Hazy, dark golden with a nice head. The aroma has notes of wheat, clove and fruit and the flavour of wheat, clove, light sweetness, fruit/banana. It’s a descent hefe - but far from the good German ones. 2395 thomasacross (129), Edina, Minnesota, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 10/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jul 15, 2007 Draft at Mission American Kitchen, Minneapolis. Slightly perfumed aroma but no overtly perfumed notes in the flavor. An excellent and in my opinion very authentic domestic German-style hefe weizen, with typical complex flavors of banana, clove, citrus, and spice. Palate lacks overall creaminess; texture degrades to over-carbonation through the finish. Bitterness is as expected for the style; just enough to ensure it still tastes like a beer. I didn’t think anyone in America was making great European beers like this... Kudos Left Hand! larsniclas (3391), Gothenburg, Sweden

Golden with a white head.
Yeasty wheat-aroma.
Somewhat fruity flavour like a weiss is supposed to. Pretty boring, actually. rlgk (3378), Vårgårda, Sweden
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 9, 2007 Bottle at Delirium Cafe, Göteborg. Amber/golden color, white head. Yeasty wheat aroma, sweetish, malty and a bit fruity. Wheat flavor. grainy, yeasty and with a malty finish. BBB63 (4274), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 8, 2007 Bottle and served in a small weizen glass: Pours to a slightly cloudy light golden hue with a fading fluffy head and minimal lace. The aroma has notes of lemon rind, grassy hops, wheat and yeast but no notice of bubblegum or banana often found in the better examples of the genre. The taste is fruity and as a noticeable wheat layer overtone. Well some banana does show on the palate it is hardly a Hefeweizen, more an American unfiltered wheat IMO. Light peppery and clove spice on the finish. The mouth feel is smooth and soft yet carbonated enough to be refreshing. That is what this is, a simple session brew and that is not always such a bad thing. Just don’t think you will be getting a true hefe here. ekstedt (2456), Göteborg, Sweden
