I was enjoyably confused for a little while as the medium body flowed easily into a taste that reminded me of a famous tripel on tap. I quickly finished the first round and went for another to pay more attention to it. This was a good beer bordering further promise, which leads me to ask what it’s like on tap. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jun 23, 2007 Bottle. Whoa! Gusher alert! What was left of the pour resulted in a pleasing unfiltered cloudy light amber color but with a foamy/spitty dissipating head. Nice banana/clovey yeast aroma, which after a while turns cheesy and a bit peppery. Wheaty/bready malt flavor with some underlying citrusy tartness and more yeast notes. However, it’s kind of thin on the palate. I was hoping for more of that nice yeasty creaminess from my Hefeweizen. This seems to just dissolve into basic wateriness. Overall OK, but nothing notable. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 12, 2007 Not bad. Cloudy amber pour with a tiny head. Nice banana aroma. Slightly astringent, but flavorful with typicaly hefe notes present. Enjoyable. ksigty (107), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 7, 2007 I liked this beer. Good aroma. Not much sweetness which I despise in other wheat beers. Long lasting flavor and a mild aftertaste. A little bit bitter but not noticeable enough to make a big difference. This is a nice change of pace to mass produced wheat beers. bubbleflubber (897), Collinsville, Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 7, 2007 Nice pour... reminiscent of a darker German Hefe... Very cloudy with ingrained yeast, diminishing head. (This used to be my favorite style, so I’m hoping for a treat....) Great nose, banana, citrus and spice. The flavors follow in tow... although a bit reserved, the spiced banana really shines through.. misses the compatible clove aspect to push through to the next level. Mouthfeel is strange... not watery... maybe a bit thin... Not a bad choice, and I’m glad to have tried it. HighlanderOne (545), Somewherein, New Jersey, USA

Very cloudy, darkish amber, head fades to lacing. Wheat, brown sugar & banana in the flavor with a bit of black pepper greeting you as you taste. Also, a drop of citrus (not lemon) in the aftertaste. This stuff really grows on me. Finished well. Nicely done. b33r (363), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 3, 2007 Tabernash Weiss Beer bottle, dated 8/31/04. Cloudy orange color with small diminishing head. Aroma was nearly nonexistent. Flavor was earthy and yeasty, but not much else. jefcon (1003), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 20, 2007 Big soapy head quickly retreats. Clouudy orange -- looks like a whiskey sour in the glass. Aromas of banana, wheat grains, flavors that add the full spicing of a traditional hefe. Not too creamy, kind of an of-the-earth brew. Drinkable and quenching.
