They weren’t kidding with the name. It was like drinking a haystack of wheat. Beaver (598), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 22, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours a very murky yellow brown with a fine white head that retains and laces the glass.
The aroma is wheat, banana and cloves.
The flavor is sweet bready malts and lots of banana with some citrus and light spices. The mouthfeel is medium with sharp carbonation and slightly watery.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. It is a light and unadventurous hefe, but it is decent. alexanderj (2252), Chino Hills, California, USA

Sweet aroma, of yeast, bublegum, and banana. Flavor of banana and wheat; not much spice, but some. Some tartness during the finish. Palate was good; medium body. hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 23, 2007 Updated: Jul 8, 2007Bottle marked bottled on 06 28 06. Fizzy white small head that all but diminished, no lacing, mostly transparent with a slight haze, fast rising carbonation, and a golden hue. Nose was banana, spicy, clove, and wheat. Flavor was sweet, banana, spicy but not overdone, and wheat. Smooth mouthfeel and somewhat creamy. Light body. There are better out there of this style, but this one was decent and quaffable. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 20, 2007 Hazy orange color with small white head. Sweet aroma with lots of wheat, and perhaps a bit too much banana. Taste is light, pleasant, and very drinkable - but again too much banana. Not bad for a Hefe, but there are certainly better ones out there. GriffinAvenue (396), Winchester, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 25, 2006 Bottle. Grapefruit / yellow color with thin head and consistent carbonation bubbling to the surface. Grassy, wheaty to the nose and tongue with hint of lemon. Very straight-forward what you see is what you get beer. You need to really enjoy wheat beers to enjoy this. Special note: don’t over-chill. Firemoose15 (540), Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA
