I wanted to rate this beer higher because I have a thing for Left Hand Brewing Co. but this beer had an overwhelming and unpleasant wheat taste. They weren’t kidding with the name. It was like drinking a haystack of wheat.

12 oz bottle. Pours a very murky yellow brown with a fine white head that retains and laces the glass.

The aroma is wheat, banana and cloves.

The flavor is sweet bready malts and lots of banana with some citrus and light spices. The mouthfeel is medium with sharp carbonation and slightly watery.

Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. It is a light and unadventurous hefe, but it is decent.

Poured a dark yellowish-orange; fizzy medium head. Sweet aroma, of yeast, bublegum, and banana. Flavor of banana and wheat; not much spice, but some. Some tartness during the finish. Palate was good; medium body.

Bottle marked bottled on 06 28 06. Fizzy white small head that all but diminished, no lacing, mostly transparent with a slight haze, fast rising carbonation, and a golden hue. Nose was banana, spicy, clove, and wheat. Flavor was sweet, banana, spicy but not overdone, and wheat. Smooth mouthfeel and somewhat creamy. Light body. There are better out there of this style, but this one was decent and quaffable.

Hazy orange color with small white head. Sweet aroma with lots of wheat, and perhaps a bit too much banana. Taste is light, pleasant, and very drinkable - but again too much banana. Not bad for a Hefe, but there are certainly better ones out there.

Bottle. Grapefruit / yellow color with thin head and consistent carbonation bubbling to the surface. Grassy, wheaty to the nose and tongue with hint of lemon. Very straight-forward what you see is what you get beer. You need to really enjoy wheat beers to enjoy this. Special note: don’t over-chill.

bottle. Aroma of wheat and banana. Poured a hazy orange with white head. Flavor was more of what the nose offered, a lot of banana a touch of wheat. Palate was good nice medium body with a relative clean finish. Overall this was good’n.
