Bottled on 11 09 05. Poured a clear golden with a white head. Lemon, banana, and cloves in the aroma. The flavor was banana and grass with a light malt background. Light body. Nice warm day beer.

Bottle, as Tabernash Weiss. Cloudy dark yellow, big foamy lasting head, a few yeasty chunks thrown in - looks good. Decent wheat aroma with strong coriander and a lot of yeast - so far so good! Taste is a bit of a let down from the strong start but still decent - some lemon, yeast, and light malt, not really any hops though and it is pretty watery. There is a bit of a sweetness here that works though. Very short finish. Overall a nice beer that I would definitely drink again.

Bottle (12oz). Cloudy orange with a large foamy-fizzy lasting white head, lots of bubbling action. Pretty decent wheat aroma - sweet, fruity/floral, ashy dry hops, yeasty - a little scorched straw. Tastes just as it smells, maybe more ashy hops, banana sweetness - watery, slightly lively mouthfeel, quick finish - not too bad at all, easy to drink; on style, if light.

I had origianlly rated this as Tabernash Weiss. This poured a cloudy yellow with a white head. The aroma was light with the bananas and cloves. There was also some light citrus. The taste was more citrus that reminded me somewhat of an American Wheat. There was also some light banana and clove. I tried this yet again and thought is was decent and restrained.

Sampled and enjoyed as Tabernash Weiss. This beer pours to a hazy pale golden color with a tall and thick white head that eventually fades and a good amount of carbonation. It has a nice nose, with aromas of banana, clove, and pear, all by products of the yeast used in this beer. The palate is soft and lean with some nice estery fruity flavors on the tongue, and just a touch of "chunky" tart wheat character. Finishes with more estery fruity flavors of banana, pear, and clove, and ends with a quenching wheat flavor.

(bottle - 12 oz) Cloudy grapefruit color with about an inch worth of puffy white head and some decent yeast sediment. Potent aroma of cloves, yeast, bananas and citrus. Sweet and spicy taste at the beginning with a yeasty middle and a finish of bananas mixed with cloves. Very spicy on the tongue.

Bottle (as Left Hand Haystack Wheat). Pours gold with a big white head, and is surprisingly clear for a hefeweizen. The aroma is quite spicy, dominated by orange and lavender, with some hops and some grain. The flavor is quite spicy and zesty and has a lot of yeast and some sweet malt. A bit of carbonic acid is present, as well. This isn’t at all what I expected, but I can’t decide whether that is good or not.

12oz bottle labeled Left Hand Haystack Wheat - Pours golden cloudy with a tall white foamy head that stays well and laces. Aroma is all bannana and cloves. Flavor is much the same. Palate is light airy and feels great in the mouth. Very drinkable and would make a nice session.
