Pours with a little haze, not much and the color is a nice golden orange and a little sizzling head. The bubbles leave in a loud manner with a refreshing look to them. A bit of yeast and malt in the nose, coupled with some mustiness, and the flavor is the same. Taste has a little allspice flavor - almost some pumpkin pie spice... almost not quite. I was expecting this to be bland, but not a bad weiss at all. Good Weiss beer carbonation. Nice tiny bubbles and very refreshing. I enjoyed this beer. Pretty good stuff. Aroma and flavor have lots of citrus and yeasty banana. Nice spice in the finish, leaves a little aftertaste. Pleasantly surprised. BeerandBlues2 (3225), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jul 23, 2005 Draught at Left Hand in Longmont. Hazy yellow with golden orange hints and a thin white head; spotty lacing. Wheat and hay malt sugary aroma. Sour wheat malt with a huge banana presence and hints of mace and cloves. Light bodied but unlike a typical hefe-weizen, not as fizzy or spicy, although it was a refreshing brew. egajdzis (3631), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of banana, clove, citrus, and mint. Taste of tart citrus, wheat, more spices, yeast, and some banana. Mouthfeel wasn’t up to par with other hefes, but this is still a nice refresher. shrubber85 (2934), Wallhalben, Germany

Light yellow color - clear with little head and moderate efferverscence. Sweet banana and wheat malt flavor with hints of peach. High acidity. Very good for an American Weizen but average overall. jasonp (1513), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 3, 2005 Bottle - Pours a cloudy golden yellow in color with a foamy bright white head. Aroma is classic; clove/banana with a hint of citrus (lemon?) and yeasty malt. Flavor closely matches the aroma. Slightly sour, nice clove/banana with a health shot of yeast. Could use a bit more body, but I really like the effort. This is a good weiss bier... beerbuzzmontreal (2916), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Hazy yellow pour with a medium white head that leaves nice lacing on the glass. Very interesting aroma of bananas, lemon and clove. The flavor is the same : bananas, lemon and clove. The body is light, the texture creamy and the carbonation level is soft. Very good weizen.
