Ringo (959), Loveland, Colorado, USA Feb 20, 2002 One of the best American beers of any style. Definitely world class. They nailed the style, I followed this with a Hacker-Pschorr and they are equals. The only good American Weiss I have tried (yet). Schroppfy (1728), Ohio, USA Oct 15, 2002 At the Brick in DC. Delicious; an outstanding example. Sweet, cloudy, hefty, wheat sour perfect, banana, vanilla, all in incredible proportions. Matches Two Brothers Ebel and Capital Weizen in US, beaten out by Denison’s version...by a hair. Bottled 8/13/02. tulsajeep (12), USA Sep 10, 2006 Very sweet with no bitter aftertaste. Great looking with light tan head. Very tasty! thomasacross (128), Edina, Minnesota, USA Jul 15, 2007 Draft at Mission American Kitchen, Minneapolis. Slightly perfumed aroma but no overtly perfumed notes in the flavor. An excellent and in my opinion very authentic domestic German-style hefe weizen, with typical complex flavors of banana, clove, citrus, and spice. Palate lacks overall creaminess; texture degrades to over-carbonation through the finish. Bitterness is as expected for the style; just enough to ensure it still tastes like a beer. I didn’t think anyone in America was making great European beers like this... Kudos Left Hand! Amber1 (32), USA May 2, 2002 a little less spicy than i had remembered. very lively, still one of my favorites.
