They nailed the style, I followed this with a Hacker-Pschorr and they are equals. The only good American Weiss I have tried (yet). Schroppfy (1813), Ohio, USA

Sweet, cloudy, hefty, wheat sour perfect, banana, vanilla, all in incredible proportions. Matches Two Brothers Ebel and Capital Weizen in US, beaten out by Denison’s version...by a hair. Bottled 8/13/02. tulsajeep (12), USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 10/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jul 15, 2007 Draft at Mission American Kitchen, Minneapolis. Slightly perfumed aroma but no overtly perfumed notes in the flavor. An excellent and in my opinion very authentic domestic German-style hefe weizen, with typical complex flavors of banana, clove, citrus, and spice. Palate lacks overall creaminess; texture degrades to over-carbonation through the finish. Bitterness is as expected for the style; just enough to ensure it still tastes like a beer. I didn’t think anyone in America was making great European beers like this... Kudos Left Hand! DrZao (97), Houston, Texas, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Oct 5, 2008 Orange/golden with light haziness and massive white foamy head. Very nice clean sweet aroma of citrus and some floral. Fruity citrus, wheat, yeast, somewhat sweet but not really malty. Bright effervescence. Sweet finish. Not usually a big fan of wheat beers but I really liked this one. fbennett (293), Lowell, Massachusetts, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 11, 2006 Pours a cloudy dark lemon/orange with a thick white head that stays a bit with this brew. The aroma is ripe bananas, cloves, honey, herbal sweetness, similar to a tropical drink. The taste is candied citrus lemon upfront followed by a fruity, honey spiced syrupy finish complemented with a wheat, bready, mouthfeel, and a hoppy bitterness. This imo is more like a traditonal hefeweizen than an American Wheat. FlagstoneHill (211), Erie, Colorado, USA
