Crafty07 (333), Lexington, Kentucky, USA Mar 9, 2008 A good but not great interpretation of a German Hefe, the brewers at Longmont have instead produced a sightly blander but decent hefe that is quite drinkable but not exceptional.
gnoff (2560), Göteborg, Sweden Aug 11, 2008 (Draught at The Rover, Göteborg) On August 11, 2008 Shady golden color, smallish whit ehead. Spicy, phenolic, estery banana and a bit acidic scent. Sweet, malty, estery banana taste. Semi-moussy mouthfeel, low bitterness. IlanMan (514), Winona, Minnesota, USA Aug 5, 2008 Pour was slightly hazy golden with a whit head. Aroma was slightly malty with some light citrus. I got a little more malt out of this brew than wheat. I did get a little dry finish from the wheat however. Decent brew. kiefdog (390), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 27, 2008 On tap at Jax Fifth Avenue (Orlando, FL). Pours a hazy golden color with one finger white head. Good head retention. Aroma is citrus, bread, grain, some yeast and fruit. Flavor is wet hay, citrus, banana, slightly sour. Light body with a tinge of bitterness on finish. markwise (257), Orlando, Florida, USA Jul 26, 2008 Draft pint from Jax Fifth Avenue. Poured a golden color with a slight haze. The aroma was very citrusy with some bread and hay. The flavor has citrus and banana and some sweetness to the finish (strawberry? bubble gum?). Decent lace on the glass as the pint is drained. Very good wheat beer from the tap. kwoeltje (1199), Manchester, Missouri, USA Jul 20, 2008 (12 oz bottle) hazy medium gold with smallish white head. Aroma of wet hay, cloves. Flavor is cloves, yeast, grain, maybe some citrus, some hay/grassy hops. Unlike others I’m not getting the banana. Decent body.
