Commercial Description:
Imperial Stout is a silky smooth, very flavorful black brew. It is a traditional style of strong stout originally brewed in Britain for export to St. Petersburg, Russia. The malty sweetness of the beer is tempered by a medley of roasted malt and the aggressive use of hops. A long conditioning time gives the brew time to mellow and mature. The beer is not filtered, allowing every subtlety and nuance to be enjoyed.

Crushed as Jakebra was passing out. His direct quote: "Okay, I’m glad I stayed awake, because that is good." And it is good. Dark fruits galore. Superior and fantastic.

Vintage 05. Sleepy’s bottle via trade. Disappointingly thin body, and palate. Nose is sweet malt and cocoa. Alcohol lightly present.

22 oz. bottle. Nice thick creamy long lasting head, molasses in color, rather mild nose, with some chocolate coffee overtones, heavy, somewhat creamy mouthfeel, initial flavors of beef, then sweetness balanced by hops, with finishing bitterness.... flavor and taste not as complex as anticipated, with mildy astringent, chemical finish.

Bottled(355ml). -Black coloured, medium sized brown head, chocolate coffee nose. Sweet roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee taste with notes of cocoa and few hoppy hints. Dry roasted finish, alcohol is well hidden and almost unnoticed.

Bottle. Pours a used motor oil black with a dense, tan head. Aromas are thick... of creamy, chocolate, anise and a touch of citrus hops (pineapple?) The hops stand out a little more than I’m used to in an Imperial Stout, and the pineapple-y edge makes it a little cloying. Still, things are pretty good, but alcohol is a bit too evident for my taste. It has a nice warmth to it, but it leaves a bit of a taste.

Bomber from total wine in Pembroke Pines. Black pour with a wispy brown head. Aroma is all chocolate and raising and flavor is the same. Sweet and delicious. I really llike this style and this one was very good.
