Strong chocolate and strong coffee are biggest presenters in the aroma. Sweet w/ slightly bitter finish. Very long finish duration. I haven’t had an imperial stout in some time, and I must say that I have missed them. Svesse (2683), Hässelby, Sweden

Roasted nose with distinct notes of chocolate, dark fruit, truffels. Slightly vinous. Roasted taste starting with chocolate truffels, after a while overshadowed by roasted coffee and with notes of citrussy hops coming through in the finish. Alcohol very well hidden, making it seductively smooth. Brilliantly balanced. Superb, smooth but powerful imperial stout. hiphops (280), caldwell, New Jersey, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 14, 2007 Poured a nearly opaque black, with a small & quickly fading head, and good lacing. Fruity, malty aroma with slight coffee and chocolate, plus some vanilla and liqourice, and some floral hops in the background. A taste of deep, complex maltiness and excellent balance with the strong floral & spicy hops. Long finish, quite hot, and also hoppy and dry. Great stout.
