| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 25, 2007 Cocoa and coffee aroma, brown, not black medium body and a thin beige head. Well blended Imperial Stout with an alcohol zing....or could that be the Rocky Mountain water? This is my KYW-1060 rating. I could drink Left Hand Imperial Sout two, three, four times a day... tronraner (1933), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 23, 2007 Bomber. Pours blackish amber with beige head. The aroma has lots of chocolate, molasses, and vanilla and seems quite sweet; it’s tempered only by some coffee notes. The flavor is also big molasses and raisin, though some bitter, grassy hops fight for recognition. The middle is very mild, nutty coffee, sweet chocolate, and the first hints of alcohol. The sweetness mellows into a moderately dry finish with a woody sort of bitterness. Alcohol sticks around for a while in the aftertaste. Pretty good. henrikb (1303), Aarhus, Denmark
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 22, 2007 Dark brown (but not black) body, beige head; Fruity not to big nose, not to imperial stout like; Soft balanced carbonation in thin soft body, slightly bitter; Medium long finish slightly bitter, a bit thin chocolate aromas. Good, but not really imperial stout like. FatPhil (3483), Espoo, Finland

Sticky sweet, fruity and spicey - christmas pudding even. Full sweet fruity taste. Not amazing, but worth trying. Dsnutz (71), dallas, Texas, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 2, 2007 12oz bottle. thanks to holdenn for bringing this downstairs and telling me, "here rate this, it sucks". pours brown with almost no head. yep, color is brown. not what you want from an impy st and the appearance is going to pay. nose is loaded with vanilla and raisins. that’s it. odd for an impy stout. flavor is really sweet raisins, vanilla, brown sugar, butterscotch, and licorice. a tad cloying. where’s the chocolate and coffee? not in this stout. this is actually more like a barleywine. now wait, this is a barleywine. body is medium. alcohol is well hidden. errrr...a decent barleywine she is, but no imperial stout, mattie! | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | May 2, 2007 Nice black pour with decent sized brown suds head. Nice toasty malt aroma, but a tad understated. Flavor is surprisingly hoppy, and sweet with some fruity overtones. The Finish is quick chocolate burst. This is a great beer.
