maeib (3959), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Dec 26, 2007 Bottled. A black coloured stout with a shirt lived tan coloured head. Full rich aroma. Mostly chocolate but also soy and coffee. Some roast in the taste; not as much as some impy stouts but it is there. Again rich chocolate and hints of soy. Good warming alcohol. A big tasty beer.
mirjukka (379), LOHJA, Finland Sep 5, 2008 bottle 355ml 6,2e bottled 01 31 07 at Black Door Helsinki murky black tiny creamy beige head Taste : roasted malts kick of hops bit fruity and milky chocolate, coffee. Very tasty long lasting aftertaste no sticky at all. drjay44 (125), USA Sep 4, 2008 22 oz. bottle. Nice thick creamy long lasting head, molasses in color, rather mild nose, with some chocolate coffee overtones, heavy, somewhat creamy mouthfeel, initial flavors of beef, then sweetness balanced by hops, with finishing bitterness.... flavor and taste not as complex as anticipated, with mildy astringent, chemical finish. ogivlado (2334), Zagreb, Croatia Sep 4, 2008 Bottled(355ml). -Black coloured, medium sized brown head, chocolate coffee nose. Sweet roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee taste with notes of cocoa and few hoppy hints. Dry roasted finish, alcohol is well hidden and almost unnoticed. MrBunn (850), Western, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 25, 2008 Bottle. Pours a used motor oil black with a dense, tan head. Aromas are thick... of creamy, chocolate, anise and a touch of citrus hops (pineapple?) The hops stand out a little more than I’m used to in an Imperial Stout, and the pineapple-y edge makes it a little cloying. Still, things are pretty good, but alcohol is a bit too evident for my taste. It has a nice warmth to it, but it leaves a bit of a taste. daknole (697), Plantation, Florida, USA Aug 24, 2008 Bomber from total wine in Pembroke Pines. Black pour with a wispy brown head. Aroma is all chocolate and raising and flavor is the same. Sweet and delicious. I really llike this style and this one was very good.
