Commercial Description:
Jackman's American Pale Ale is brewed true to the style - medium-bodied, crisp and refreshing, with plenty of hop flavor and hop aroma. It's noticeable hop bitterness is contrasted by the spicy and floral characteristics of the highest quality hops grown in the U.S.

Bottle. Hazy orange gold with a small head. Aromas are spices oranges with some woody notes. Caramel malts with some bitterness. Flavours are dry and bitter with tea, pine and peaches. Some sweet and bitter grapefruit. Prickly and dusty on the palate.

A nice strong ale. Pours with a nice golden color and packs a nice little punch with it’s hints of hops in it. Definitely glad to have had this one.

Bottle. Dark golden beer with a lightly malty aroma. The flavour is strongly but freshly hopped and roasted dry. Overall a very nice beer.

OK APA but nothing great. Solid malt with some citrusy hops, but in the end the flavors are all fairly muddy. None of the crisp flavors that I think make a good pale ale.

12 fl. oz. / 355 ml bottle, bought at the GBBF 2008 for takeaway. ABV is 5.2%. Amber colour, moderate head. Interesting aroma, notes of ripe berries, flowers, caramel and some wood. The flavour has first a noticeable malty presence, then slightly subdued fruity American hops take over (a little more hops would not hurt!), leading to a moderately bitter and piney finish and aftertaste.
